A friend sewn by hand, made to be loved for years.

NYDOLL is a small shop that makes one thing: soft cloth dolls, cut, stitched and dressed by hand in our small workshop. Each of our 22 dolls has her own name, her own outfit that really comes off, and a little personality to start the first game of pretend.

Why we make them

We believe children need toys that ask for imagination, not batteries. A cloth doll can be tucked into bed, dressed for a picnic or told a secret. That kind of quiet, open-ended play is what we make our dolls for.

How they are made

Every doll is 12.5 in (32 cm) tall, with a cotton body, soft yarn hair and a face embroidered by hand. Her clothes are sewn from cotton and linen just like real ones, with buttons, pockets and lace, and they fit every NYDOLL doll.

Because each doll is made by hand, small details like stitch lines can vary a little. That is what makes her yours.
